Start Using Agentforce for Sales Cloud

Agentforce is a fundamental change in how sales teams work on the Salesforce platform. It enables many jobs and responsibilities of sales reps to be done by independent, autonomous agents. This new model of business allows sales reps to be more efficient and able to handle more clients and prospects, leading to a significant reduction in operational costs. In this article, we discuss some common jobs that were formerly done by sales reps that can now be done by Agentforce.

Sales Cloud Use Cases

There are many Agentforce use cases for Sales Cloud that can be utilized including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Coming up to speed on an Account
  • Generating Personalized Sales Emails
  • Generating a Sales POV
  • Objection Handling on an Opportunity
  • Generating a Sales Pitch
  • Creating a Close Plan
  • Meeting Preparation
  • Product or Order Recommendation
  • Activities Summary
  • Sales Coaching

Additionally, since Agentforce is built on the Salesforce Platform, it is highly extensible and can be customized to meet any of your specific sales needs.

Let’s take a look at a few use cases in more depth to get a more concrete feel for how Agentforce can help your sales team right now.

Coming up to Speed on an Account

Let’s look at how Agentforce can be configured to support sales reps coming up to speed on an account.

Problem: Sales reps take ownership of accounts and need to come up to speed on them, quickly. Typically, this would require manually clicking around records and taking notes.
Solution: Use the Copilot agent and simply ask it to summarize the account. Once the copilot agent is configured and activated by an admin, there is no additional work, because only standard agent actions are used.

Generating Personalized Sales Emails

Another way that Agentforce can be helpful is in crafting meaningful, personalized emails. The key here is that, not only do the emails have meaningful content, but they are also personalized to the recipient.

Problem: Sales reps need to send emails to prospects and customers that are personalized, written well, and have meaningful content. This is a time-consuming task and if the emails are not suitable, they will be ignored.
Solution: Use the standard Draft or Revise an Email and standard Sales Email prompt templates. Optionally, create custom Sales Email prompt templates for specialized processes.

Generate a Sales POV

Many times, sales reps need to figure out how to communicate to a customer or prospect why they should make a purchase at this time. Agentforce can help with this.

Problem: Sales reps need to have a compelling reason for why a prospect or customer should purchase from them now.

Solution: Create a custom prompt template to generate that information and, optionally, store it in a field on the Account record.

In a Nutshell

Agentforce revolutionizes sales on the Salesforce platform by employing autonomous agents to handle tasks traditionally performed by sales representatives, enhancing efficiency and reducing operational costs. Agentforce offers solutions to a wide array of use cases. Its flexibility and customization options ensure that it can be tailored to meet specific sales needs, making it a powerful tool for your sales teams.
